dark and inky. Deep purple/ruby in colour, not vibrant. Looks dark and brooding.
The aromas are deep dark berries/cherries, almost liqueur-like in nature. Also getting licorice, mint, cocoa, tar. Dark and brooding. Plush full-bodied wine. Round, smooth and silky. Fine velvety drying tannins. Long finish. No hard edges. Nice plush dark berry flavours, sweet cherries, baking spices, licorice and chocolate. Touch of tar and tobacco on the finish. A beautiful wine. Medium acidity to keep everything in check. It's interesting in that I almost get an Amarone impression upon drinking this , except this is not as big or sweet, or as extracted or thick/viscous. Outstanding wine

An impressive, big and bold Merlot. A touch on the oaky side for my preference but certanly a high quality and ambitious wine.
