Day 1: Out of the bottle this one actually took me aback a little when compared to the landhaus, it felt almost as if it was carbonated it had such a front palate bite. I mentally adjusted and aired this for 20 mins and a bit and the cooler climate shiraz characteristics came through, mainly savoury black olive with a hint of pepper. Day 2: This has improved. Black olive rounded itself out and the bite mellowed into a pleasant savoury mix of anise and smoky plum. Fine tannins finish things off.
