Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 88.3 points

  • Relatively light golden colour. Rather discrete nose with dried yellow fruit, some honey, a bit of solvent notes, and some hints of botrytis. Sweet palate (BA sweetness), medium bodied, quite a bit of honey, ripe yellow fruit with some yellow apple notes with a tiny bit of green apple, high acidity, and a tiny bit of spice. Definitely a wine with distinct Eiswein character and a credible weight, but I get the feeling that the grape material included both some botrytised grapes and some underripe grapes, and I miss the Riesling perfume in the nose. 88 p.
I see little point in cellaring this wine, but it will probably not be harmed by a couple of years in the cellar.
