  • Bought on release and forgotten in the back of my cellar. Found doing inventory. Since it was a mountain ‘07 figured it was worth tasting. Indeed it was. The nose was a bit flat with hints of mocha, camphor, and herbs. On the palatte dark cocoa, muted dark red fruits, very well integrated tannins. Perfect drinking window. Not complex or flamboyant, but a fun dinner wine. Have one more bottle I will drink within the year.

  • A very nice new world cab. It's balanced and tasty but it's high point is the fabulous mixed fruit flavors: fleshy ripe cherry, plum, cranberry, and blueberry as well.

  • Wonderful nose of mixed berry pie and candied fruit. Supple fine-grained tannins, great blueberry fruit on the tongue. A little alcoholic, not overly complex, but a great dinner wine. It is in a perfect drinking window now. My first of 5 bottles that I bought at release. Will drink them over the next 2-3 years

  • Three bottles purchased in 2010. All were enjoyable though this was the smoothest and most flavorful of the lot. Brief decant. On the nose cherry with some eucalyptus and caramel. Flavor is more dark fruit and cherry which gradually intensifies, and though it doesn't really evolve, it lingers nicely to a very slightly tart finish.

  • Third and last bottle of this wine consumed over past 3 months. Every time we opened one, both wife and I commented how enjoyable it was, and two visitors on different bottles said the same. Its somewhat unsophisticated, one dimensional, uncomplex. But it is extremely well balanced, very smooth, and has a very nice finish. This is a great, rock solid, bottle of Napa cab. At $38 its fairly priced, not a huge deal, but it has left us extremely pleased every time we have enjoyed it. If it was $25 it would be a nice steal, but at $38 its solid. I am somewhat surprised at the low scores here, but if not given the time to open up, and if consumed in a tasting atmosphere against many wines, this one is not going to jump out and excel, as its too smooth and balanced. I wish I had three more bottles.
