  • Consistently, one of my favorite producers from Meursault. In fact, Fichet could be my most favorite.

The nose is a thing of beauty. Beguiling aromas of crushed rock, grilled pineapple, ripe lemon, burnt caramel, roasted almonds. This is the type of wine that "they" would call haunting. I spent the greater part of the evening just smelling this. I wasn't even interested in drinking it. Of course this is a joke. The palate however, though good, was a bit simple. It offered the weight, oilyness and minerality that you would expect but the complexity could not match the nose. For what this delivers, its really hard to find much fault. lovely wine.
