Mature and waxy with ripe fruit, honey and some funk left. Enough acidity left to give it balance. Nice and interesting exemple of ripe Jura chardonnay, but I should’ve opened this a few years ago.

A little darker and more oxidative than I remembered it when tasting at the domaine fifteen months ago. Now full straw, a minerally, slightly sweet-scented oxidative nose. Reasonably viscous on the attack. Good acidity. Plenty of mineral-led interest. Finishes positively. Good, but probably not for the long haul unless you like the more oxidative style. ***

Clay and limestone from the Cotes de Jura. A slightly more oxidative sense to this, presumably a result of the extra bottle age, gives it a twang of Savagnin. ***

(André et Mireille Tissot Chardonnay Côtes du Jura En Barberon) Aged 24 months in oak and lightly sulfured before bottling. Grown on limestone soil, it shows distinctive minerality and fine richness on the palate, with apple, white-peach, and herbal notes. Nicely balanced. Winery Spotlight: André et Mireille Tissot
