Less oaky, a soft merlot, but very pleasing to the nose. Stays soft on the palate, no spice at all, but a very pleasing tannin-y acidity. Not something I'd necessarily put in my cellar as I don't know I'd want a full bottle, but as something to try, it's definitely worth the price

Vale do Vinhedos (Vale do Vinhedos, RS): Concentrated purple-garnet. Toasted oak, licorice, star anise, plum. Dense in the mouth, four-square, fruit and spice packed together. Slightly mean finish, tart acidity. Closed and unbalanced. Heavily extracted and I wonder (actually I very much doubt) whether it has all the elements to turn into an outstanding wine.

(Miolo Merlot Terroir) Saturated very dark red violet color; intriguing, tart plum, lifted, lemon thyme nose; tasty, complex, tart plum, subtly herbal, mineral, thyme palate with medium acidity; medium-plus finish 90+ points
