This is an interesting wine, given it had 3.5 years of oak aging. And it does taste oaky still at age ten. Needs to integrate a bit more, either through decanting for quite a few hours or more bottle aging. Tannins are present but not hard. Concentration is good, medium finish.

Popped and let breathe for about an hour prior to tasting. Minimal to no bricking. Nose gave off more oak than expected, some dark fruit and a bit of alcohol heat. Alcohol dissipated a bit after breathing and revealed a smooth, yet overly oaked (for my taste) cab. A fair bit of dark fruit, moderate tannins but just too overpowered by the oak. I'm not sure time would integrate it any better. Glad it was on sale.

Deep ruby color with minimal bricking. Very fresh and bright on the palate with prominent cedar and vanilla notes. Finish is maybe not as long as hoped/expected and there is still a fair bit of oak. Gorgeous nose. Slightly unbalanced and hot, but well structured.

Full garnet colour. Advanced, withered dried fruit nose with some smoky minerality. Mature fruit flavours; viscous, glossy and glycerined texture; a bit hot with a hint of ethyl acetate on the palate. Long, earthy, raisined finish. Not perfect but interesting and worth experiencing. 4/5

Not a classic Cab presentation. More dark fruit. Tastes a bit cooked.
