  • Just got off the boat. For Vintus. Wine was bright red fruits, very ripe, with a heavy (and probably very expensive, and VERY delicious) new oak foot print. Surprised there was no hint of residual CO2 in this guy. I feel like his wines usually have a bit of 'spritz' when young. Definitely delicious, definitely riper than I would have liked, definitely a solid choice for someone who loves Peay or Hirsch but wants Burgundy too.
