Our last bottle of what was a well-worth-it Costco buy several years ago. Drinking surprisingly well for a bargain buy. Still features that spicy dry-farmed vineyard style we loved since popping the first cork. Fruit has held up well, and it developed some elemental secondary characteristics. But let's not overthink this offering. It was a great weeknight pop n pour that punched way above its price class. Yum.

A truly great zin with rich deep dark velvety fruit flavors including Maraschino cherry, black cherry and plum. A real treat with none of the overpowering unripe green blackberry flavors that show in too many California zins. An amazing steal at the original Costco price of around $11.

This continues to drink well, confounding my previous prediction. Color is browning just a bit, but still offers nice legs and a robust bouquet. Fruit continues to drop off, replaced by more smokey tar notes and a black licorice finish. Continues to be a great QPR. Just cover the label when you serve it.
