Pearl of Burgundy gala dinner: First vintage of this special bottling. This was a strange one - seemed so primary like a barrel sample. Sweet, confected red fruit, not sure if this was the most representative bottle since the 2017/19s were stunning the previous day.

Jeroboam 10/20, decanted to serve. Incredible (again) how pure, intense, and sustained this wine is; the ethereal flavors are so focused and driven, and they just do not stop. This is the best Fourrier wine ever made, period, and quite a perfect one for that matter. 97-98

DBY. Extraordinary wine. Exuberantly herbaceous aromatics in good way. Just crazy delicious, full stop. Incredible purity, balance and transparency. I see KoalaHK has a bottle, and will be super nice to him hoping he'll read this note and open it for me.

Some Wine Tasted at the Zachys La Paulée Auction; 3/10/2022-3/11/2022 (Le Bernardin Prive - New York NY): Small pour from 3L, brief note. Fourrier personified. This is all about perfect fruit - pure, dense, and incredibly intense, prototypically expressing Gevrey. A great wine. My first time ever tasting this as a finished wine (i.e., from bottle) in any vintage.
