Punching way outside of its weight class, this little puppy came off as a northern Rhone. Meaty and complex on the nose with, medium weight and nice (but light) acidity on the palate. Yum.

Blackberry, black cherry, black pepper and bay leaf are knit together in a this full- bodied wine. Very nice savory elements give it complexity and the med+ acidity keeps the wine fresh. Nice lingering finish.
Drank as well on day 4 as it did on day 1. Should be able to age an additional 5+ years. Another very good QPR wine.

Taste: Full bodied with medium+ acidity and youthful tannins. The structure is very noticeable, but there are well balanced tones of dark red cherries, minerals, pepper, and some chocolate tones as well.
Overall: This is a very young syrah, but one that can improve. There is nice purity to this as well with good structure to boot.

Bearserkerfest Day 2- Domaine Wine Storage (Domaine Wine Storage, Chicago IL): Nose: The nose is on the tight side, but there is a nice purity to the tones of dark red cherries, minerals, pepper, and violet tones. There is good balance to the tones as well.

Ripe blackberry, pepper and anise flavors finish with tobacco and earth. Will go well with any strong-flavored food.

Enjoyed the meatiness/classic syrah. Decent value at $20.
