BaBa 05-10 dinner session at Bar Cicheti. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, pronouncd intensity, with aromas of fragrant oak make-up, florality, red fruits. Developing. On the palate, dry, good high acidity, medium+ alcohol (14.5%), very sappy soft integrated medium+ tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet red cherries, strawberries, integrated oak makeup and spice. Long juicy finish. Very good quality. Love the superb nose. Modern style but who cares when it is fragrant good, and the palate is soft feminine and pleasing. Perhaps just lacking a sense of depth. In a good place, though maybe still needs a few more years for tertiary earth to emerge.

Bruno Rocca Barbaresco Masterclass - A matter of taste (Singapore): Medium-dark garnet. Expressive nose of mint, red fruit, spices even with some hints of orange peel and pineapple, really complex. On the palate this is still closed and the tannins need a bit of softening (unlike the 07) but it will be a great Barbaresco. Wait. 94-96
