Stinky nose marred by rotting wood and mud, there is also chocolate covered cherries. The palate is slightly less objectionable with some baked cherries and spices as well as wood and there's a nice saline component to the finish. This is a style I just don't like. 85 df 7.8

Aromatic, this has herbs de Provence, roasted black cherries, Asian spices grilled beef on the nose. Medium-full bodied, this is tannic and a bit dry, but loaded with exotic flavors of herb de provence roasted beef with baked black cherries and rosemary. The tannins are of moderate quality and bit astringent. There may wood tannin and wood influence here, but otherwise this is a decent bottle of CdP and an excellent foil with salty oyster-sauce noodles! Drink now-2024 91

Initially seemed fully mature and "hurry up and drink" flavors upon opening. I left about half bottle in fridge for 2 days and it did not degrade, in fact it seemed a bit more open and focused. Drink or hold.

Seventh bottle tasteD, cellared since late 2012, this continues to impress, the complexity of fruit here is amazing, kirsh, cherry, pomegranate, cassis, blueberry, tart candied wild berries, the finish last for a full minute, very good CDP, with plenty of life left.

Decanted 1hr, cellared since 10/2012, last tasted 2/2016. This bottle was just as good as the one tasted in 2016, full of blueberry, cassis, dark cherry, kirsh, pomegranate, very long pleasant finish, one bottle left.
