  • PNP. Dark purple. Subtle jeweled streaks at the core in the right light. Tight magenta rim. Bouquet is both floral and perfumed. Cherry, lavender? Interesting bouquet, subtle and not overpowering. Nice fruit. Not overly complex. Definitely black cherry but maybe a bit of pomegranate. A streak of spice, white pepper, begins at the mid palate and rolls backward and then spreads out in the finish.

Nicely balanced. A bit acidic? Or maybe the alcohol. But that fades before it really throws anything off. Finish is nice. Fruit and spice spreads and fades out cleanly.

    8/8/7/7/7 - 37/87

  • Blueberry, blackberry, licorice and black pepper on the nose. Full bodied with round tannins, great intensity and good fruit/alcohol balance.

  • Decanted half the bottle, saved remainder using the Vacu-Vin. The next day I had the second half of the bottle: had opened up and improved. More fragrant and flavorful. Medium to full-bodied, great mouth-feel. Medium finish. Good Rhone character.
