Drank this a bit less chilled this time (I would guess 68F as opposed to 62F), and was struck by the very low pitched nose of earth, bark, dried dark cherries verging on prunes and even some licorice. Medium to full bodied. Long finish structured by some rustic bitter yet fine grained tannins. Would have liked a bit more acidity on the finish at this temperature. In the end, not sure whether I like it better at this temp or more chilled - maybe as a food wine more chilled, on its own less chilled.

Earthy cherry nose. Fairly rich creamy fruit laden mouth. Structured finish. Concentrated and fairly ripe, yet done in a traditional style, rather than an international style.

Slow Wine Guide 2012 (Release tasting) (Metropolitan Pavilion): The nose was hallmark Tuscan with wild berries, tree bark and earth. On the palate, I found soft strawberry tones, with herbal tea and cedar. The finish was long and structured. The Tre Rorri Riserva was extremely enjoyable and one of my favorites of the vintage.
