Haven't community posted on the last few bottles (over several years) and noticed no new TN's so suspect there is not much of this around which is a shame as this has been an over performer. Short decant for heavy sediment and this was good right out of the gate. Dark intense aromatics of blue and black fruit with smooth silky rich mouth feel of secondary and tertiary fruit. lots of additional flavors and notes come forth, purple flowers , lavender some red fruit, cedar and lots of different kinds of meat. A real classic mature Barrossa Shiraz which was not OTT considering a stated 13.5% alcohol volume. It is a shame that Oz wine fell out of favor in the US as they are not all about jammy fruit, and we lost the opportunity to enjoy some amazing well made and reasonably priced wines.

Took a while to open, but the deep fruit is still there. Had that slightly over the hill funk, however very little bricking which suggests that a good decant should help. Maybe holds up another year or two.

let open in bottle for 30 min before drinking over subsequent 90 min. opened with an intriguing Old World nose of damp earth etc. good length on midweight palate with nice red/black berries, ripe without being overly extracted. well balanced, suggesting another several years of life at least.

Lots of fruit when first opened. Lost most of it after 2 hours of being open.

This bottle a bit more advanced and did not require much decanting
