Dinner at Brian and Sylvia's (Duchess): I thought this was very nice. The nose had swirls of cream, melons and pears traced with a lick of chalk, flint and white flowers. A touch sweet, but otherwise very attractive. The palate was still youthful, but definitely coming together well, with more sweet notes of cream, melons and pears, these marked with both the sweet ripeness as well as the bright citrus acidity of the 2010 vintage. Decent finish too, not the longest, but with a nice twist of flinty mineral at the back. When a bit warmer, there was a bit of ice-cream soda on it. Nice now, will get better, but altogether a good white Burgundy.

Some butterscotch and golden apple, but thankfully not quite sherried. A little nutty as well. Fruit has thinned out quite a bit at this point. Not bad to find an aged Rapet at the liquor store but this one is largely over the hill.

Pure expression of fresh lemon citrus , grapefruits, white button mushrooms. Hint of vanilla and almond butter. Some asparagus.Taste of green apples , grapefruits. Still young. Good wine with potential

Clean pure minerality with rich buttery batard/puligny nuances. Ripe lemon brûlée with good linearity and precision. A good wine. A point.

White flowery perfume. Rich honeysuckle, pineapple, ripe peach, stony minerality and round citrusy finish.
