  • Tasted at Bernard's, Ridgefield, CT - Xavier Monnot lunch (with Xavier Monnot). All the Monnot wines are domaine bottled. Bold nose bursts from the glass the moment this wine is poured, bellowing out "Drink me, I'm Meursault!" Aromas of intense and beautiful lemon-lime and marzipan, with toasted almond and hints of vanilla and baby powder. In the mouth, the lively acidity suggests long aging potential, with lovely complexity of flavors ranging from pineapple and ruby red grapefruit, through baked apple and toast, with hints of mouthwatering saline character and lemon juice that echo on the long finish.
