  • Honied and slightly developed nose that features canned peaches, lemon-lime and a hint of petrol. In the mouth, the medium sweetness is balanced by a crisp acid finish, although the wine finishes lush, ripe, and slightly bitter, but good presence. There is a hint of the soft drink, "sprite" about this - but in a pleasant way. This is rather nice riesling which is very NZ but feels inspired by both Germany in its sweetness and acid balance, but also Alsace in its 12.8% which gives it a quite different palate impression. Drinks well now but will undoubtedly last.

  • Slight bitter phenolic edge detracts from good fruit weight and balance. Kaffir lime, beeswax, medium/dry - slightly hollow on the finish. Should age well and I hope improve. Next in 2014
