  • Light gold, clear complexion
Surprisingly fresh for a 10 year old California Gewurztraminer. Lychee and roasted walnut flavors. Medium to full bodied with + acidity.

  • This was one of those orphan bottles that I nevered intended to hold on to for this long, but it seems to have held up well. Outstanding initial nose of lychees, quince, all sorts of floral and citrus notes. Taste held true to this, but with a real hollowness or flatness to it. I am not a Gewurz fan, since it does not have the acidity or sweetness that I prefer and so I don't know if its my lack of appreciation of the grape or if this bottle had just lost its fruit, but the dullness did not live up to it's very exciting perfume.
