  • Deep golden hue, exotic fruit on nose (mango, papaya, pineapple), medium+ mouthfeel, taste: bright fruit and slightly mineral taste with a touch of white pepper. However, much less fruit than nose would suggest. Fairly alcoholic at 14% with legs on glass; however, served at 10-12C alcohol not heady. Overall a wine that is original and makes your travel. Taste profile could be more complex at this price point. Decanted but not convinced it made much difference. Still bright—not on decline. Key was to keep bottle appropriately chilled. Paired with poultry. Think this would pair nicely with certain asian food (chinese, thai).

  • Wood is still present, but in a good way (i.e. not destroying the fruit), as a previous review said already.
Complex, fresh (for a condrieu), and very very easy to drink.

  • This absolutely needs to be aired - for an hour or two. At first you get oak and minerality, a more rustic wine, but with air, everything is coming together, and a beautiful, aromatic condrieu arises with plenty of flowers, honey and exotic fruit to go with the minerals. This could age well. (at Brasserie le Nord, Lyon)
