This was more robust than our last bottle back in May (more weight and body) but the acidity is still light. Took about 2+ hours in bottle to open up. Overall this is linear but smooth and enjoyable. Drink now. Technical score: 90. Enjoyment score: 90.

Consistent with previous notes. Medium, soft, round, but still potent. Balanced on the palate with good, ripe black fruit and lingering savory notes of herbs, mushrooms, and dried leather. Fully mature. Acidity is low but the tannins are still thick. Drink 2018-2022. Technical score: 90. Enjoyment score: 92.

Improved and more accessible than our last tasting almost two years ago. Good brambly blackberry and raspberry fruit and the finish has become nicely refined. Seems to have low acidity (at least this bottle) so drink before 2020. Technical score: 91. Enjoyment score: 92.

P&P'd with a savory meat stew and salad. Inky purple color with subtle violet tones. Nose brings gobs of blackcurrant, creme de cassis, candied blackberries, whiffs of dried herbs and sweet pipe tobacco. The palate is full, round, sweet, but slightly thin and flat, bringing raspberries, strawberries, more blue fruit and cassis, and finishing with a slight savory soy note which provides good balance. Elegant in feel with subtle acidity and sweet, refined tannins, this should be solid for a more years. Very nice mountain cab from a little-known producer and terroir (Pine Mountain/Cloverdale Peak). Drink now - 2020.
