  • Deep ruby color fading to garnet. Somewhat muted nose to start (but it eventually opens up), with bramble, raspberry, eucalyptus, clove, wet forest floor, earth. Medium+ body, acidity and alcohol. Like all Laetitia PNs, had to shake the bottle vigorously to blow off some CO2. Oak dominates the palate, along with dark berries and spice. Medium+ finish, but a little like cough syrup. Can't say the clone offers anything unique. Typical Santa Maria Valley/Arroyo Grande earthy, spicy, ripe Pinot. This would be quite nice if it were less oaky. But still not too bad as is.
