What a terrific surprise. This is a combo of new/old world style. The alcohol is 13.9% (lower side for Calif), but without the fruit being subdued. The color is on the lighter side of California Pinot, the nose is beautiful red fruit. The wine has good acidity and solid medium body. Nice finish leaves you wanting more. Went out and bought some more. A little pricey but very enjoyable. Justin Willett, the winemaker is up and coming and his Pinots and Chardonnays are making people sit up and take notice.

I think this wine will be excellent in a few years but is definitely too young right now. Benefitted from a generous decant but wish I'd waited!
