Once again, another bottle of Trisaetum worthy of one of the best American Rieslings. No American winery I have tasted rieslings from is as consistently great as Trisaetum, in my humble opinion. Mouthwatering acidity, minerality and slight hints of Petrol with some apple notes in the fruit spectrum.
I'm going to have to agree, this is the best American Riesling I have ever had, although by a small margin. Surprisingly subdued nose, some ripe apple, skins, and honeydew aromas. The palate is another story. Great texture. Wonderful fruit flavors here, long expressions of apple fruit, young peach, kiwi. These intermingle and relax into a finish that shows this wonderful sweet and sour flavor that is just amazing, the larger amount of RS here and strong acidity is amazingly integrated at this point. Long finish with lingering fruit and acid, making the mouth water for another sip. Overall, this stuff is absolutely fantastic. A bit more expensive although now I understand why. Tip: Don't chill this down too far, or if you do, don't give your final impression until you've let it get up to at least cellar temp. Right out of the fridge, it's a bit mute. 55-60F is where this wine showed it's best, IMO.
