  • Black cherry, plum and raisin notes on the nose. Between medium and full bodied (15.5% ABV) with a combination of black cherry and plum both upfront and through the middle. Mid-body has outstanding density; very deep blackfruit, with pretty redfruit highlights. Tannins are fine grained and well integrated. There's plenty of structure here, but it's all very much in balance with the fruit. Not only was this wine very much alive, it felt like it was drinking at peak with a number of years left at this level. This wine continued to open up and show additional nuances and felt more and more integrated over the 3 hours it was open. The fruit showed quite well and there were no tired or fading notes. Very pleased with how this wine showed.

  • Very much alive. Rich, pungent Amarone aroma and fruit. Light tannins in an overall smooth, integrated package. The huge deep structure of a young wine has given way to subtlety and fragrance. Sippable but nice complement to tomato pastas or slightly rich food.

  • Wonderful smooth, rich red. Soft rounded tannins with medium complexity. Flavors of prune and scent of black licorice.
