As before. Fruity, buttery, a little exotic. Quite new world or possibly a very good Macon but with nice acidity. Lacks a tiny bit of freshness to be say a Puligny. Very good.

First time pulling a cork after using a Coravin (4 glasses with Coravin over 2 weeks, 2 glasses now after pulling cork). Very fresh, seems fruitier than yesterday, which may be to do with mood, food, temperature or maybe even the pour blew off the argon better. Lovely oaked Chardonnay, gentle oak, mineral, fruity, buttery. Good balance of oak. Very good.

Coravin tasting. Same bottle as two weeks ago. It seemed fruitier then. This seems more mineral and oaky. Nutty too. Still very fresh but lacking vibrancy. Having this today with cheese and on its own, so may be due to that; it was with chicken last time, which seemed to bring out the fruitiness. No sign of oxidation at all, as you would expect with a Coravin.

Coravin tasting. Very nice. Fresh, fruity (peach and maybe some more exotic fruit), nutty, buttery. Nice use of oak. Like a top Burgundy. Lovely with chicken tarragon and later Camembert cheese. This is at its apogee. Maybe lacking some of the fresh minerality of youth but rich and luxurious Chardonnay now. It has another 2-3 years of life yet I think.

Last bottle and a grand lady. This was sliding towards oxidative so opened while still enjoyable. A reminder of a great case.
