  • Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Beautiful nose and full bodied with medium acidity.

Showing blackberries, black currants, cooked plums, cedar, tobacco leaf, chocolates, coffee, herbs, spices, earth, light vanilla, black pepper and eucalyptus.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and cherries.

This is a wonderful Napa Cabernet. Rich and elegant with a soft mouthfeel. Fruit forward with nice complexity.

Drinking beautifully now as a 14 year old. Not too much in your face kind of wine, which is very nice to see out of Napa. Just a pleasure.

At its peak now, and will continue to drink nicely in the next 5 years.

A gorgeous wine to share with good friends.

Good right out of the bottle, easy drinking and good by itself. Will also pair nicely with a nice piece of steak.

    13.9% alcohol by volume.

    94 points.

    $200.

  • Just opened and poured. Drank over the next hour. Phenomenal bottle. Really hit its stride. Had side b6 side with a 2010 Kathryn Hall and grace family blank was the better wine. All four of us agreed. Wish I had more bottles that was my last one.

  • This was a really interesting wine - on first pour, not sure I'd like it at all - red fruits, a bit tart and spicy, no nose to speak of, and a flavor that I couldn't identify. Two hours later it started opening up, with a hint of a nose, the tartness had mellowed and the flavors began to meld, offering layers of taste with a long finish. And looking online, others identified eucalyptus for the flavor I didn't recognize. All in all, a very nice bottle of wine, and potential to evolve with some additional cellar time and ahigher score.

  • Excellent wine in overwhelming company (Scarecrow, Spottswoode, David Arthur, Colgin, Paul Hobbs, etc) . Currant and red berry flavors, some oaky spice and a hint of mint.

  • Blind tasting against '95 Opus One, '07 PNV Markham Ghost Block, and '09 Dakota Shy. Stood up well, finished just behind Dakota Shy on my tasting sheet.

Beautiful nose of eucalyptus and black licorice, but nearly a "mint bomb" on the palate.

Not something I'd revisit as a "favorite" wine, but I wouldn't turn away an offered glass.
