  • From Magnum: we had this after a series of excellent Gouges wines and it stood its ground: quite a lot of red fruit, spices, an elegant and well structured wine, with punch and fully in its drinking window.

  • Deep ruby red. Nose shows dried baked fruits, morello cherries, raisin, dried fennel seeds, cistus and light garrigue characters. Fairly full body with chewy slightly rustic tannins. This is a powerful weighty wine, not that deep flavour but rather smatterings of dried cherry, fennel and black cherry.

  • Nose shows some black fruit, coffee and some oak!
Palate is a bit disjointed. Mid palate shows silky texture with some oak but the fruit is subdued and it ends with a very bitter & tannic aftertaste.
This is very tight and austere presently...not convinced that this will age well!!!
