Big, velvety Syrah. Dark berry (blacks, some blues) and a slight spiciness, but very balanced and ultra-smooth. Satisfying finish, works well with peppercorn steak (although this Syrah isn't as peppery as others I've had). Satisfying and I'd definitely seek out another Ken Brown.

This huge syrah is still very young and even after 3 hours of decanting was not ready to be consumed. Hold for at least another 6 months before trying another bottle.

Big aromas of wet earth and blackberry followed with brown sugar and a bit of nutmeg on the palate. Nice dose of oak and a long finish. Supple mouthfeel-deep, lush and fat. Nice buy at $25. My second bottle with consistent showing.

Popped my first Ken Brown Syrah tonight. Deepest dark purple I've seen in a while, just a great color in the glass. There are aromas of blackberry and plum followed with vanilla and cinnamon on the palate. Nice dose of oak and a long finish. Not a ton of fruit upfront, but a great mouthfeel-deep, lush and fat. This is very, very nice and a helluva a buy at $25. Good to go for quite a few more years.

This wine is drinking very well young but has enough tannin and fruit to make it enjoyable for a long time. Huge "legs" with a beautiful mouthfeel. I loved this wine and look forward to it's evolution over the years.
