  • We decanted the wine for 20 minutes before we poured the first glass. It improved with air and drank better after about one hour in the decanter. The wine was dark purple in colour and threw some fine sediment. It offered ripe red and dark berries, red cherry, blackberry, plum, chocolate and some vanilla on the nose. On the palate the medium- to full-bodied wine showed ripe red and dark fruit, mixed berries, cherry, blackberry, some chocolate, mocha, spices, some vanilla and some coffee, paired with medium-level acidity, medium-level dusty tannin, a plush and creamy mouthfeel and very good length. A plush, very easy-drinking, very fruit-forward wine that seemed a hair watery at times. Drink now.
