Cloudy pomegranate red color. Multilayered nose of sweet fruit (cherries, strawberries), spice, and more fecund earthy and meaty aromas. The palate has a round, sweet fruit profile underpinned by a sturdy mineral base. This finishes dry and slightly green, with moderate acidity. A strong effort, in the style of the better Old World rose (such as Tavel). Of the dozen Northern Michigan wines we tasted, this was the standout.

I think this is outstanding for a rose. Complex, slightly more tannic than most if not all roses. Good balancing acidity. Robust finish. Everything I could want; flavor and refreshing.

Served chilled with Easter ham. Nice rich pinkish color with red hint. Light berry taste. Slightly sweet.
