  Nice color. At first a nice if uninspiring nose, but after a few minutes the nose becomes acrid -- there is also a slight whiff of wet cardboard, suggesting there might be a cork issue here.
  
  The palate is better than the nose -- some nice acidity brightens a bit of subtle cherry fruit. I would put this in the very interesting to drink as it is a 1993 burgundy and it is nice to see what drinking an older burgundy is like. Blind I would not score this overly high. Perhaps 88 as my last note. Though since I seem to be the only person on CT with this wine, I am not sure it matters other than for me for the remaining two bottles.......

  Very pleasurable wine. Does not drink like a 20 year old wine. But not a lot of depth or finesse either -- at least the first evening. Still some left so curious to see if it opens up more with time. Nice subtle pinot/berry nose and taste. A bit of fruit on the mid palate -- but not much beyond that. Short, but not unpleasant, finish.
