By the glass. Last bottle of BBR selection in this case purchased seventeen years ago. It still offers a dry and attractive style. Toasted notes and nuts on the nose. I have never understood that British obsession when considering sercial grapes as ideal for the appetizer.

Named after a sloop from Bermuda which carried grain to Madeira and wine back to the West Indies, until it was shipwrecked off Funchal in 1774. Produced by the Madeira Wine Company, 50cl bottle, 19% ABV. Pale golden colour; attractive nose of dried flowers and walnuts; dry but juicy palate with a lively acidic, salty tang (but nowhere near as austere as a Sercial would typically be), light flavours of dried fruits and figs, hint of mocha; good length. Nice wine - glad it’s not too sweet.
