Deep purple to red colour. Slight toast on nose. Black fruits, a bit of toast, spice and smoke. Needed time to open. Medium tannin. Enjoyable and straightforward drinking.

Surprisingly powerful black fruit aromas on the nose. Subtle but decisive oak influence adds a touch of vanilla and a general impression of richness. Full texture with velvety tannins. This bottle was drunk without food, but I imagine it going very well with a English Sunday roast of beef or lamb. Extremely good for a wine under £6.

Tempranillo, cab, merlot colour, pale purple, not opaque taste - medium-bodied, clean, dry, no jam, some spiciness This is really excellent for the price. tick

Cherry red, purple rim. Immediate appeal, rounded and fruity. Good spice on the finish, almost damson. Tannin gives it body.
