Slight bit more oxidation in the nose since last time I tried this. Still plenty of pears, quince, and even stronger ginger spiciness than last time. Mouth continues to be very well balanced, with a light mouth feel, and a satisfying long dry finish. Excellent QPR.

Light gold; bright, but with some tiny floating particles. An impression of lanolin and honey on the nose, perhaps; but actually it's pretty darn enigmatic, irreducible to simple comparators. Full-bodied in the mouth, a touch of sweetness helping in that respect, though the acidity is generous, meaning the overall effect is not actually sweet at all. In short, wonderfully balanced and a great pleasure. I would love to keep a bottle or two for five or ten years to see how it evolved: my guess would be into greater depths of flavour to match the already great texture. Magnum, cork, 12%.

Stone fruit, mineral, vg length. As one reviewer said, medium bodied with sense of weightlessness, and as another said, insanely drinkable. A bit of a wow wine.

Has improved over the last couple years and drinking really well now. Intense nose of pear and quince with some ginger spiciness. Also. plenty of wet stone, which continues into the mid palate. Pear returns again in the finish. Excellent QPR. Wish I had let more of these age!
