Seven course wine pairing - Lazy Betty (Atlanta, GA): Wine Pairing @ Lazy Betty in Atlanta. Color is almost transparent peach. Some bitterness on the palate before trying with food. This is "heavy" for a sparkling. Paired with beet salad. The pairing didn't enhance the food or wine. Just OK. Brad - heavypourwine.com

Fun wine! Intriguing nose of some fruits I couldn't identify (berries? something tropical? both?) mixed with more classic notes of citrus, mushroom, yellow apple, honey. The palate was a little more traditional and nicely balanced. Could be fun at the right price.

Bottle 1520g. Moderately intense aromas of an unusual mélange of tree fruit and berries. Fine, persistent mousse. Dry, with elevated, clean acidity, mixed, ripe fruit, medium-bodied, 12.5°. Chenin, chard, Cabs Franc and Sauv. Tasty and fun.

Light+ bodied, traditional styling with modern elements. 60% blanc, 40% noir. Creamy but also zippy, with plenty of citrus tones, white flowers, and lemongrass. Little yeastiness, slightly but not too hollow in concentration. Enjoyable at ~$20 USD, though Domaine Huet's base sparkling Vouvray is 2-3x the wine at only 25% higher cost if you can find it.

Pale straw, very fine effervescence, 12.5% abv. Aromas of lemon, pear, bread dough, and ginger. Dry-off dry, medium(+) acidity, medium(-) alcohol and medium body. Palate of lime, pineapple, pear, honey. Good balance and soft mousse. Long finish with nice expression of the dosage and the lees. Goes well as aperitif or with deserts.
