This is a great Cab dominated WA state blend, with Merlot backing up the Cab Franc. Nice dark fruits with the typical but polished cab Franc underbrush, with some early components with good mineral and acids to make this perfect with a nice thin crust pizza during the wildcard playoffs. Enjoyed much more than the triolet!! Surprised by this.
The cab franc really shines in this blend. I really like these wines older, but with enough air this 2009 is still quite nice at this stage. I'd wait until 2017 to open these, but sadly this was my only bottle.
