Drank as a pop and pour. I'm not sure who gave this wine its drinking window but it is definitely still in a great spot. I would even argue that it was youthful with a great fruit profile. This wine has a long life ahead of it.

Drank as one of a 16 bottle tasting of wines from Shea vineyard from 7 different producers from 6 vintages. This wine finished T2 with an average rating of 93.0.

Two bottles in a row. Calling it corked would be an improvement. It has a funk about it that renders it undrinkable. Sad due to the cost and also that we have ‘09’s that are drinking incredibly well.

There are many vintners in the WV who source grapes from Shea Vineyard. For our palates, we've had a mixed bag of reviews, mainly depending upon the vintage. '10s came out very strong and right away this one was a stand out IIRC. As it is now, it is an earth-bomb. Better with food, but I must admit, kind of disappointing as time goes by. We have one left, probably won't hold it.
