Vivian brought to Shwetha’s for dinner. The nose was maybe a little off at first, but the structure was lovely and the tannin like fine suede. I drank this one before moving on to anything else.

Drunk over several days (kept in fridge under vacuvin after opening) C: Dark slightly brownish red N: Cherries P: Note of oak. Acid, sometimes a bit bitter at first—takes an hour or so to fully open. Very nice after that. Exc length and balance. Quite compelling if a bit schizophrenic. Light body, lean but powerful. Mature red fruits, dark cherries. Very good Burg.

1 glass coravined. Medium/deep ruby/garnet core, pale garnet rim. Intense red cherry fruit, some darker notes, touches of earth and celery. Medium bodied, intense red cherry, some darker fruit, creamy edge, hints of earth, very fine tannins, still a touch firm, great depth here and it expands impressively into a very good length finish. Very good indeed, should improve.
28/1/2016 - unfortunately, 2 months later, this hasn't survived intact. Noticeably duller, more mature and more reticent nose, with slightly stewed red fruit, and finite oxidative notes on the palate, which has a dried out, scratchy finish. (Cork had also leaked slightly through the needle hole).

Pale/medium garnet core, medium pale garnet rim. Slightly dusty red fruit, red cherry, notes of earth. Still youthful. Medium bodied, good depth, red cherry, some darker notes, old vine creamy edge, nice tangy acids, not overly complex but who a very good length red cherry finish. Very good.
