Dark, red color with little bricking at the rim. The expressive nose blends cherry, ripe raspberry, chocolate, and spice. On the palate, this wine gushes raspberry, chocolate, and spices. This is still medium-bodied with balanced acidity and fine grained tannins still present. The finish is fruit-packed and surprisingly long. Overall, this is a very enjoyable 10 year old pinot noir that has excellent fruit, but I would drink sooner rather than later, as I expect there will always be a bit of a tannic edge.

Seattle Tasting Group does Pinot (Seattle, WA): Sour cherry on the nose. A little swampy. This is the nicest of the flight in terms of acidity. Rather brisk and reasonably lively. Dry. Actually very boring. Where is the fruit?

On the downward slope, perhaps, but still good juice. Faded brick in color. The nose, which is mute at first, eventually shows some earth and olive tinges. On the palate, raspberry, cedar, and a floral note are what jump to my attention. The finish is surprisingly firm in the mouth; this must have been a beast of a Pinot in its youth. Nothing transcendent about this bottle, but it's charming still.

Candied, sweet. Slight tang. Not my fancy.
