  • Tasted this alongside the Screw-cap version of this vintage. It was a perfect split between the tasters (6) as to preference of cork or Screw-cap closure. The Screw-cap version seemed to be more evolved than the cork finish. Bothe wines exhibited great, sweet, black fruit with smoky espresso on the long chocolatey finish. The cork finish version had greater density and depth, while the Screw-cap version was more supple. Both versions are drinking great, but I get the sense that the cork finish version bottle may not have peaked, while the Screw-cap bottle was close to a peak.
