Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Funky and undrinkable at first, but with a little time in the decanter, it's mellowed into something we can almost enjoy. There's something oxidized here-- sherry, caramel-- but beneath that there's the stony familiarity of old Chablis and a spicy, floral bouquet that smells a lot like Chanel No. 5. I couldn't possibly drink more than a glass of this, but for $20 or so at a local supermarket clearing old wines from their passive cellar, it's not too much of a disappointment.
