Last bottle from this vintage. Still quite lively with vibrant acidity to match the berry fruit. Perhaps lacks a little bit of complexity but provides a lot of pleasure

In its olden days for sure but age has brought balance (the berry fruit is still there but nicely tamed) and some complexity which appears to increase the interest. If it just had a slightly more tannic structure to provide great balance it would be even better but as it is this wine does finish a tad soft.

This bottle demonstrates the ageing capabilities of good quality SA red wine, it is still fruit driven but less of the fruit bomb of its infancy. Good stuff

Confirmation of my previous tasting- this wine has reached full maturity and is now providing a well balanced pleasure with the fruit now mixing in with earthy and slightly oaky facets. Additionally the alcohol level now seems sensible.

Still has structure but fruit is fading fast. Not as good as the 2006, but still good. Best to drink up!
