  • Breathed for 2 hours before serving, what a delicious wine here. Nicely balance with creamy oat, mocha, toast, long long finish. A bit one dimensional but great value.

  • 38 Aussie dollar at the dan murphy.

Colour is reasonably dark, purple rim. Nose is chocolate, earth, dark fruits, coffee beans. On the palate, close to full bodied. Quite soft considering Mclaren makes firm and tight wines in general. Some creamy oak, subtle but one dimentional. Rather easy drinking nice wine. Not enough structure for cellaring. I would drink it over by next 2 years. I would have liked it alot more at 20 dollars. Jeanneret Rank File Shiraz 2010 was so much better yet only 20 dollars. Competition is too high with wines these days, if you are going to charge over 30 dollars, than better be bloody good. This just not hitting the mark. I much more prefer Directors cut Heartland shiraz 2010 and again cost less.
