Decanted at 5pm and enjoyed over 6 hours, probably best at the end. This wine is a medium dark garnet with little to no sign of age. Initially this was somewhat awkward and not very expressive but as the evening wore on and we had some food with it things improved. The nose is lightly floral, along with toasty oak, black fruit and chocolate. It has a nice rich chewy mouth feel. The palate has boysenberry, black plum, vanilla, chocolate graphite and still a good amount of drying tannin and acidity. The finish is only moderately long with a little bitterness and some noticeable alcohol throughout (ABV labeled as 14.6%). Still quite enjoyable especially with food, but while it can last for some more time I now think it unlikely to improve much more. In the end this was slightly better than the bottle a couple years ago but only with several hours of air in the decanter.

Decanted at 4 pm and drunk over the next 6 hours. Medium dark translucent garnet, almost purple with no sign of age. On decanting it seems very fruit forward and jammy but with some air it really transformed into an earthier, more complex wine. On the nose I get boysenberry, earthy mushroom, pencil lead and toasty oak. On the palate there is a nice mix of flavors including the boysenberry, plum and some earthy and floral notes. Somewhat austere in an old school way that frankly I enjoy. Medium bodied mouth feel but plenty of vibrant acidity. I think this has a strong future ahead. Perhaps a better score in the future.

impressive dark purple color showing no signs of aging, and minty fruit nose with eucalyptus notes. The initial taste is lush fruit with some spice and oak notes and a touch of tannin coming on and then a slightly bitter finish that goes away, leaving just a reminder of sweet dark fruit lingering. This is a nice bottle, but lacks a presence on the mid-palate and finsih that prevents it from being great. It went well with marinated flank steak, and had some acidity towards the finish to balance the marinade.

Time to drink any and all of these. It's incredibly rich and complex and this fruit forward wine has matured into a much more intriguing experience.
