  • Lampid, watery green-ish color. Open, exuberant nose of pear jam, floral perfume, passion fruit, grape juice, ripe citrus fruits, some nutmeg and a hint of diethyl ether from alcohol. Rather full-bodied and a bit oily, dry palate. Fruit-forward taste with rather light flavors of ripe pear, yellow damson, honeydew melon, white grapes and a touch of spicy bitterness. Moderate acidity keeps the sense of fatness and heaviness away, giving the wine nice balance - even though a wine this heady does not appear as anything refreshing. Quite long and somewhat mineral finish with gentle spiciness, floral aromatics and some mouthwatering acidity. Despite the modest alcohol (12,5%), the finish has the slightest touch of alcohol warmth.

A well-made, high-quality Muscat; it was tasty, yet slightly pedestrian and predictable on its own, but paired wonderfully with an Asian, spicy noodle wok. All in all, this is a nice single vineyard Muscat, but it suffers a bit from its high price: when you can get a decent dry Muscat from Alsace at half the price, this wine is not really a good buy, be it quality-wise a notch above the rest. Decent stuff, but not really worth the 19,86€.

  • Ripe pear, lychee and yellow plum on the nose with some yellow spice, rose pedals and candied lemon.
Dry and medium bodied palate with just the slightest waxiness and a more pronounced bitter touch. Spices, florality, cucumber peel. Primary Muscat-fruit. Lengthy.
Balanced and pure. I've never been a huge fan of dry Muscat, but this is rather nice.
