Jo Landron tasting, Vintages, West Concord, Mass.: A methode champenoise sparkling wine, from Folle Blanche (55%), Chardonnay (25%), and Pinot Noir (20%). Zero dosage. It is a non-vintage wine, but this bottle was from 2020 grapes, disgorged in 2023. Very dry. Moderate acidity. Medium body. Lots of bubbles. More like a high-quality Prosecco than a champagne, with a surprising mid-palate complexity of flavors -- green apples, some citrus, some spice.

I like the "fluffy" descriptor in the previous note, definitely captures the foamy effervescence of this wine. Very vinous and acid driven, with a kind of green vegetal note and chalky texture. Short finish.

Really interesting. Dry, almost fluffy; uber fresh. Excellent pre-dinner drink for mine. Light apple and no heaviness in the palate. Slightly bitter finish. First time drinking a Folle Blanche incidently.

Nice sparkling if somewhat middling. Nose has bright fruit and almost some parsnip. Big mineral. Palate nicely acidic and mineral. Short finish and a bit vegetable driven.

Drank tonight with Middle Eastern salads with grilled chicken (she) and lamb (moi), which is a great combo. Madame is more complimentary towards the wine than I, but we both think it is well worth the $22 we paid for it. It's dry, it's only very slightly fruity, it is yeasty. Oh yes, it's dry. And thirst-quenching. Shut up and buy a bottle and find out for yourself. 88.5 points
