It is always good to find a "surprise" lurking in your cellar or vinoteque. I was moving around some 375s when I discovered this bottle hiding in the back. I was not sure what to expect but I was very pleasantly surprised. The wine was a deep gold and oxidation was expected!!! Nope!! Vibrant tropical complex flavors featuring butterscotch and baked apples. This is certainly a mature California Chard and would not be mistaken for anything else. It might not be everyone's cup of tea but it was a wonderful Labor Day surprise!! Cheers!!! Marshall
